Personal information that this website collects, and why we collect it

This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

  1. To keep a record of who has downloaded the curriculum
  2. To conduct analysis of who has downloaded the curriculum in terms of date, jurisdiction and type of institution.
  3. To enable us to survey users about their use of the curriculum.

Access to this data is limited to the administrators of the Appsoc web site and your data will not be shared with any other body, including members of the BSA-SoA group or staff/trustees of the BSA.

How we store your personal information

Your registration details will be stored on this website, which is hosted by Netcetera, one of the UK’s leading web hosting companies.  We used WordPress to build the site, and the S2Member plugin to manage the registration process.  These third-party providers are working to ensure full GDPR compliance by the start date of the legislation (25 May 2018).

Data breaches

We will report any unlawful data breach of this website’s database or the database(s) of any of our third party data processors to any and all relevant persons and authorities within 72 hours of the breach if it is apparent that personal data stored in an identifiable manner has been stolen.
